The History of KCM

The Kingdom of ColdMoon's beginning dates back to a now fallen kingdom named Juanolia. The king's daughter, Princess Alyxandrya, was the proprietor of a fiefdom named Cold. Alyxandrya fell in love with a rival of her fathers, a Duke named Moonstone. Moonstone was the Duke of the fiefdom named Moon.

When Moonstone and Alyxandrya married, they combined their fiefdoms, naming their lands COLDMOON. The lands of ColdMoon flourished, and so did the Prince and Princess' love. After a time, the two had twins, a son and a daughter. They split lands into two principalities, the mysterious MoonStar, and the magical forests of Yew.

Many years passed, and the rivalry between Moonstone, and his wife's father, King Juan grew. The monarchy was not being fair to the citizens of Juanolia, Moonstone stated. The heir wanted a fair balance between the monarchy and the citizens of Juanolia. The king vehnomly disagreed. The citizens of ColdMoon agreed with their leaders. The monarchy was too powerful, and was ignoring, even neglecting its citizens.

The monarchy of Juanolia was so wrapped up in the politics of running a kingdom, they didn't notice rebellion dancing in the minds of the citizens of ColdMoon. Before Juanolia knew it, they had a full scale civil war on their hands. ColdMoon fought a bloody and gruesome war, with many casualties on both sides ... but ColdMoon eventually won and gained their independence.

Rulers, past and present - Over the years, there have been many rulers of ColdMoon ... starting with the very first rulers, the history of rulers is listed below:

~ ColdMoon gains its independence, and becomes a Kingdom.

~ FirstKing Moonstone and FirstQueen Alyxandrya ascend to their thrones.

~ Moonstone names Aislinn High Chancellor and gives her the principality of Yew.

~ Moonstone and Aly leave ColdMoon, giving over leadership to Aislinn.

~ Lady Fire returns, concealing her secret past from her friends, and helps Aislinn establish a government in ColdMoon again.

~ Aislinn and Lady Fire rule as equals, Czarina's of ColdMoon.

~ Princess Pulkie and Prince Christopher object to Fire leading ColdMoon's government.

~ Lady Fire comes up with a government plan, that puts Aislinn as Queen, Fire as High Chancellor, Princess Pulkie in charge of international affairs, and Prince Christopher in charge of the military.

~ Aislinn and Fire begin to have disagreements on how to run ColdMoon.

~ Aislinn remains queen, and Galin ascends into Fire's empty High Chancellor position.

( Chesley secedes from Juanolia, making them a separate nation. ColdMoon declares neutrality in the Cheslyan Independence War. Juanolia falls soon after. )

~ Fire returns to ColdMoon, and is granted citizenship again by Princess Polgara.

~ Aislinn welcomes Fire back, and Polgara names Fire her heir.

~ Queen Aislinn goes on an extended pilgrimage, leaving Fire as High Regent to govern the lands of ColdMoon.

~ In the absence of Queen Aislinn, King KaeLe grants Jupiter permission to change certain aspects of KCM as she best sees fit, as the needs of the citizens possible change.

~ Fire eliminates the position of High Regent, and establishes the current government of ColdMoon, the Silrosia Council ... named after the Royal Family of ColdMoon, the Silrosians. The positions of the council are held by: DuMunt, Fire, and Jupiter.

~ Fire speaks of Juan's possible entry into the Kingdom. (This is when the Prodigy KCM and the Internet KCM vary permanently - with the dismiss of the Silrosia Council on the Internet version, and the leadership taking on a new shape, yet not fully established, however with Jupiter involved.)
